Grace

RotD first featured Grace in January 2005, when we wrote: 'This is track three on Grace's debut single and it suggests to us that there could be some major songwriting ability in this band. A band to watch.' Whilst the band remained unsigned at this point, we were convinced that they were very special. Hearing more music only confirmed what we suspected. Featuring "Stand Still" in April 2005, we wrote: 'it looks like they won't be unsigned for much longer. Here's proof that Sleep All Day was no fluke'. We weren't alone in our belief. Grace have since signed a recording deal with Innocent Records and are preparing to release their first single Wonderful (date TBC). Innocent A&R manager Joseph Kentish tells us: "We followed Grace for a while and Record of the Day's support definitely ensured that they stayed on our radar. I'm sure the RotD feature helped in terms of getting people down to what turned out to be key gigs." Result after RotD supported: Signed to Innocent Records
