Two weeks ago, we were mesmerised by the double single release, ‘In The Sound of Breathing/Opening’ - a breathtaking collaboration between award-winning Icelandic composer and producer Ólafur Arnalds and Swedish singer-songwriter and producer Loreen, under their project Sages. These releases instantly transported you to another world with their lush orchestral arrangements, electronic soundscapes, and haunting vocals. The tracks also formed the soundtrack to the short film Sages by Thora Hilmars. Starring Loreen, with a cameo from Arnalds, the film draws inspiration from the enigmatic Dancing Plague of 1518. Today (21 March), the duo released their 3-track EP ‘Sages’ that bridges the worlds of euphoric, minimalist electronic composition and emotive pop. ‘Unknowing’ is the final tender offering, fusing swooping string instrumentation, a delicate piano motif and Loreen’s intimate and beautiful vocals.  It’s a glorious listen, and one well worth your attention.
