Rave Now Die Later

We say
North London singer-songwriter Louis Dunford releases his debut album, ‘Be Lucky’ today (14 February). We first featured him back in 2020 with his debut single, ‘London’s Requiem’ - a powerfully thoughtful, emotionally raw, and undeniably honest introduction to his storytelling talent. In 2021, we tipped him in our Ones To Watch, and since then he has continued to build a loyal fanbase with his vivid narratives, capturing the humour, grit, and depth of a north London lad on a world stage. The album features his recent singles, ‘Billy Flynn of Bethnal Green’ and ‘The Local’, along with ‘The Angel (North London Forever) – an ode to his hometown that has been embraced by Arsenal FC fans as their official club anthem. His latest single, ‘Rave Now, Die Later’, carries a message of resilience, with its anthemic chorus - “Live now, forgive now, be brave now, cry later, be here now, f*ck fear now, rave now, die later” – serving as both a battle cry and a lifeline for listeners. To support the album release, Louis will perform at in-stores across the UK before embarking on a UK tour in March and culminating in a sold-out Alexandra Palace show in London on 11 April. With praise from tastemakers including i-D, Clash, Complex, British GQ, and Wonderland, plus support from support at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Radio 1, BBC Radio London and Radio X, Louis has come a long way since his debut. His moment is well and truly here.
