Maybe This Time

We say
Hayley Sales is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, and actress known for her soulful blend of jazz, and pop. Last year, Hayley released her ‘Christmastime’ EP, which has amassed over 3m streams, and led to her UK TV debut on Strictly Come Dancing’s It Takes Two. With a sound and stunning vocal reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald but with a modern twist (Laufey, Samara Joy, Stella Cole), Hayley dropped the big band-inspired ‘Easy To Love’ last week (featured on Deezer Brand New UK). Today, she followed it up with this beautifully crafted jazz-tinged affair. Led by a classic piano melody with lush string arrangements and soft, sweeping percussion, ‘Maybe This Time’ is both modern and timeless. Primed for inclusion on new release programming at DSPs, alongside additions to easy listening and mellow editorial playlists, it’s the kind of song we can hear picking up plays on Radio 2 weekend shows and syncs in romantic film/TV shows. Soon to film a lead role in the new movie Northanger Abbey in the UK, Hayley is set to perform at the jazz club downstairs at Dean St Pizza Express in Soho on 7 March.
