Let us introduce you to LAMBERT, the electro-pop project of London-based producer, songwriter and director Grace Lambert. Inspired by dystopian fantasies and themes of disconnection and alienation, LAMBERT creates a captivating blend of dark electronic textures with nostalgic hints of trip-hop and the electro-pop aesthetics of Goldfrapp. Having independently released several singles, she has caught the attention of tastemakers Wonderland, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Popmuzik, among others. Released last week, ‘Human Nature’ is the hypnotic title track to her debut EP. Backed by an almost NIN-esque beat, the track is a glorious blend of brooding electronic soundscapes with exquisite vocals and the soaring, synth highs of Air. Upon release, the track was added to Apple Music’s New In Alternative, and we reckon it deserves further additions to brooding electronic playlists at DSPs, along with spins on 6 Music and specialist shows at Radio 1. With a wealth of shows across London at various venues, including Electrowekz and The Finsbury, LAMBERT has also performed at the London Electronic Arts Festival and FEMMESTIVAL and is looking to book more shows in the city and at festivals. Outside of her music production, Grace has directed music videos for artists, including New Order and Ava Lily, as well as an editor on campaigns for Levi’s, Coach, and British Fashion Council x Polydor.
