We say

Back in October, we introduced you to Skinner, the project of Dublin-based multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer Aaron Corcoran who draws on the New York no-wave, post-punk, punk-funk, and disco from the late ’70s/early ’80s. His track ‘Geek Love’ was a blast of post-punk goodness. Last week (10 January), he dropped his debut album 'New Wave Vaudeville', featuring this raucous, quirky and infectious number. With several Spotify editorial playlist additions, ‘Sour Milk’ has that chaotic but anthemic nature that would sound great on 6 Music, Radio X and specialist shows at Radio 1. The Irish Times, Clash, Daily Mirror and Head Stuff have all sung Skinner’s praise on his debut album, and we reckon there will be more to come for this rising rocker. Next month, Skinner will head out on a 13-date Ireland and UK tour, including a show at the Shacklewell Arms on 19 February to support the release of his debut album.
