We say
‘Blush’ is a moody alt-rock debut from Cold Desires, the new project from Circa Waves guitarist Joe Falconer and Elina Lin, a touring member of the Courteeners. Having decided to start writing together for fun after a late night conversation at a house party, the duo discovered they had a shared vision and similar influences, and thus Cold Desires was born. Written during a bleak January and produced by Matt Glasbey (Madness), ‘Blush’ is a gorgeous atmospheric number fuelled by anthemic reverbed guitar tones, euphoric vocals and elements of melancholy in the melody. With its echoes of ’00s indie-rock shining through and a driving hook or two, the track has already captured the attention of Clash and the Line of Best Fit. Perfect for indie and alt-rock playlists at DSPs, we expect to hear this on shows at Radio 1, 6 Music, Radio X and Virgin Radio soon. Watch the video here.
