Never Wrote a Song For You
We say
It’s been over three years since we featured London-based Irish pop singer-songwriter Fia Moon and her vibrant summery track ‘Simple’. Since then, she has released a string of singles, building on tastemaker support from the likes of Spotify, Clash, Nialler9, Hot Press, and Irish Radio (over 65m impressions) & TV, including RTE 2FM, The Late Late Show, and The Six O’Clock Show. During this time, Fia has supported Cian Ducrot, Aby Coulibaly, and most recently LYRA on her UK/Ireland tour. Released last week (25 October), ‘Never Wrote A Song For You’ is the first single from her forthcoming debut EP, which revolves around the idea of unsent love letters. Produced by GETH (Ashley Singh/Vance Joy), the track is a beautiful, acoustic-driven pop ode, bursting with warmth and soft production. Irish radio is already on it with multiple plays, and we expect more this week. With its catchy melodies and hushed vocals, ‘Never Wrote A Song For You’ is a gorgeous introduction to Fia’s debut EP and would sound perfect on Radio 1's Future Pop show, alongside additions to New Pop/acoustic/romantic playlists at DSPs. Next up for Fia is a support slot on Billy Lockett’s UK tour and, of course, more music as she builds up to the release of her EP in early 2025.
