‘Another Sad Song’ is the evocative and powerful piano-pop ballad from Kent-based artist Livvy Lauren and Northampton singer-songwriter Maddox Jones. The duet, co-written with Tim Gosden and Becky Smith, is an emotional yet uplifting song about the struggles many face in daily life and reflects on how love, friendship and personal resilience can pull you through the darkest moments. With its tender harmonies and lush production, the song deserves to be added to piano pop/ballad editorial playlists at DSPs, along with spins at Radio 1 and 2. Watch the touching video here. This Friday (1 November), Maddox will be releasing his second album, ‘Waiting for the World to Turn’, which will feature this track and the previous RotD-featured song ‘One Minute’. But before that and starting tonight (28 October), Maddox will be supporting Will Young on 23 of his UK tour dates, with Livvy joining him on stage at five of the venues (Cambridge, Tunbridge Wells, Chelmsford, Worthing and Brighton) to perform this song. All in all, ‘Another Sad Song’ is a lush and emotive ode.
