We say

Marking an energised new era of music, ‘Renaissance’ is the shimmering and vibrant alt-indie pop single from the newly independent artist, singer-songwriter and producer Ellie Dixon. Having previously featured her in March 2022 with the single ‘Space Out!’ on Decca Records, the track sees the London-based artist soar with a newfound self-assuredness and self-confidence after she came to terms with unexpectedly parting ways with the label and being inspired by watching Doja Cat live. Mixed by Manon Grandjean (FLO, Cat Burns, Stormzy) and produced by Ellie, the track is a refreshingly open tale about this experience albeit with a medieval tinge - “On this day a great knight hath fallen, but an even greater knight hath risen”. This charming ode with its buoyant blend of alt-pop mixed with D&B-tinged tones, indie aesthetics and grandiose string elements is perfect for new release programming, alt-pop editorial playlists at DSPs. Early support has come from Radio 1 with a Future Pop play and coverage on Clash and Dork. Watch the video here. Next up for Ellie is a fan event in London next week (22 October) and then, a support tour with UPSAHL in November. With over 1.2m TikTok followers, 1.3m YouTube views,  and 18m+ combined music streams on DSPs, alongside tastemaker support from Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Clara Amfo), Rolling Stone UK, Dork, Clash and more, Ellie Dixon is back with a bang with this brilliant return.
