With an air of ’90s nostalgia, ‘miss u’ is the euphoric new single from Cologne-born artist, producer and innovator Luna Morgenstern. Last year, we raved about tracks from her ‘Dance Dance (Don’t Go)’ EP that saw her blend pristine, modern electro-pop with drum'n'bass beats. This time around for her forthcoming new EP, ‘heartbreak hotel’, she fuses alt-pop with late ’90s rave and early ’00s club influences. Produced alongside Dutch producer Nick Ribbens, ‘miss u’ takes its cue from the rave scene but also early Massive Attack and blends it with warm synths and Luna’s ethereal vocals to create a gorgeous release. Having caught the attention of tastemakers The Line of Best Fit, The Independent, Clash, Wonderland, Dork and more, for her previous music, we reckon the subtle euphoria of this nostalgic-tinged offering will quickly find many new admirers. Quite stunning.
