In August, we introduced you to Wax-Tree-Cast and their infectious '90s-tinged indie banger ‘Straightjacket’. Since then, the indie duo, consisting of Oolagh Hodgson (bass, vocals) and Blair Murray (guitars), dropped their debut EP, ‘Entanglements To Affairs Part 1’ and garnered support and plays from 6 Music and Radio X. Plus, last week they played Dingwalls in Camden. Yesterday (8 October) the indie duo dropped this expansive and scuzzy guitar-flecked number, which explores the dynamics of volatile and toxic relationships. Taken from their ‘Entanglements To Affairs Part 2’ EP, out 15 November, the track, like their previous single, deserves spins at 6 Music, Radio X and Virgin Radio, plus indie and new release programming at DSPs. This Saturday (12 October), if you are up north, they will be playing Hebden Bridge's Trades Club. Watch the video here.
