Life of the Party
We say
There’s a lot to love about the latest release from Toronto-based artist Housewife. From the Cure-esque driving bass, and distorted, haunting guitar lines to the soaring vocal chorus and modern-pop aesthetics, ‘Life of the Party’ is an absolute alt-pop indie anthem. Co-written with Mikky Ekko and Aaron C Harmon, the track has featured on editorial playlists at Spotify and Deezer, alongside features across numerous online blogs. Primed for spins on 6 Music and Radio X, the track is another glorious addition to her catalogue, which has seen support from LA Times, Melodic Mag, Under The Radar Magazine, Earmilk, Ones To Watch, Dominonated, CBC (Canada public broadcaster) and 6 Music. Having supported Paolo Nutini and Adison Grace across the US and Canada, Housewife has, this year, played SXSW, The Great Escape Festival, and Reeperbahn, and recently finished supporting Lauran Hibberd on her UK tour. All in all, an addictive alt-pop anthem with shades of nostalgia and melancholia from a promising new talent. Watch the video here.
