In June, we welcomed the return of Chelmsford-based singer-songwriter Roisin O’Hagan with her rock-pop offering ‘Midnight Indigo’. The track marked a new era for the artist after she impressed, not only us with her country-pop offerings on her ‘Dreamstate’ EP in 2022 but also Radio 2 (Bob Harris), Countryline, Absolute Country, BBC Introducing, BBC Essex and Spotify. With its soulful, emotion-fuelled vocals, a driving beat and lush soft guitars, ’High’ is her latest single. Written about the emotional high of a crush, the track continues to see Roisin move into the pop-rock era and would be perfect for inclusion on emotional feel-good contextual playlists and spins at Radio 2, as well as sync opportunities on TV shows. Having supported Chris Shiflett on tour, Roisin is currently planning band shows for the UK, with a London show in November to be announced soon. With more music to come in the next six weeks from her latest recording sessions at Abbey Road and Nashville’s Blackbird Studios, Roisin is shaping up to have a busy end to 2024.
