We’ve been big supporters of the Caernarfon-born artist singer-songwriter CATTY since the release of her debut solo and RotD-featured single, ‘Bella Donna’, back in 2021. A series of bold, brash and punchy witchy rock pop offerings, alongside a summer of defining live shows, including opening for hero Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park, has seen her pick up some serious tastemaker support from Spotify, BBC Radio 1 (Future Pop), BBC Radio Wales, Notion, DIY Magazine, NME and more. Released last week (13 Sept), ‘Actress’ is another absolute belter. With its insidiously familiar guitar line driving this furious ode about an ex, CATTY seamlessly blends the best of ’80s rock with tinges of country rock and modern pop flair. Featuring on editorial playlists at Spotify and Apple Music, the track is worthy of further additions to new rock playlists and spins at Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music and Virgin Radio. Next month, CATTY will drop her debut EP, and we can’t wait to hear that.
