I don't want you to have to remember me for longer than you ever knew me
We say
As regular readers will know, we have been a fan of Tom A. Smith for a couple of years now with our last feature back in October 2023 for the anthemic ‘Fading Away‘. Since then, he’s finished out last year with almost two months of non-stop touring around the UK, released a couple of singles, and performed at festivals, including Monument, Birkenhead Live, Victorious and Kendal Calling. Plus, he has also been announced as one of the lead roles in the Dave Stewart-backed film Ebony McQueen. Last Friday, Tom dropped this tender guitar-led ode featuring swim school singer Alice Johnson. With its stirring nature and the vocal chemistry between them, the track is an absolute gem and perfect for syncs for TV/film. Apple Music and Amazon Music supported the track with editorial playlist positions alongside numerous online features. To date, Tom has been praised and supported by Sir Elton John, Jack Saunders (Radio 1), John Kennedy (Radio X), Spotify, Deezer, YouTube, NME, Dork, Clash, and many more. Overall, this is an honest and intimate ode from a rising talent.
