Meat
We say
Opening with a catchy piano motif before launching into a big band pop sound, ‘Meat’ is the bombastic new offering from Nashville-based 18-year-old Sadie Fine. Born in the UK with American and Palestinian heritage, Sadie began writing songs at 13 and has since performed hundreds of shows across the UK and US. Last year, she dropped her debut EP, ‘Detox’, and followed it up earlier this year with the ‘Fine’ EP. Her music to date, has amassed over 4.5m combined streams and featured across editorial playlists at Spotify, including NMF, Young & Free, Salt, It’s A Bop and more. Plus, she has been played on 62 radio stations across the globe. With its decidedly buoyant bop and a body positivity message, ‘Meat’ blends the quirkiness of Tones And I with the big pop sound of Meghan Trainor and the retro-soul vibe of Amy Winehouse. Upon release, the song was added to Spotify’s New Pop playlist and played on BBC Introducing in Oxfordshire & Berkshire, but would also sound perfect on Radio 1’s Future Pop show. With plans for shows in the UK and more music to come, Sadie is an artist to watch for the future.
