We say

Big, gritty and anthemic, Brighton-based garage punk trio Honeybadger have been creating quite a stir in the seaside town with their dramatic and energetic live shows over the past year. It’s not just the South Coast live scene, but they’ve also caught the attention of Radio 1’s Nels Hylton, 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, BBC Introducing, and Planet Rock’s Wyatt Wendel for their distinctive blend of punk, indie-rock, psychedelia and grunge. Plus, previous releases have seen them enter the Kerrang! Chart, added to editorial playlists at Apple Music, featured as a RotD, and drew praise from Clash. ‘Maybe I’ is their latest release - a high-intensity blast of grungy riffs, pounding drums and raw vocals. It’s an absolute beast of a track, filled with frustration and energy, reminiscent of many of the greats from the ‘90s alternative scene. ‘Maybe I’ is a track you need to hear. Watch the Sitcom Soldiers-directed video here. A firm fan favourite at live shows, the track is deserving of additions to alternative/rock playlists at DSPs, and spins at Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X. We don’t hear bands like this much anymore, but there is still a niche and desire for them, especially in times like these. The band are looking for a live agent to help secure shows across the UK and for next year’s festival season to coincide with future releases. We can’t help but think with the Reading and Leeds festivals nearly upon us, Honeybadger would make an excellent addition for next year.
