Take My Love
We say
London/Bristol-based three-piece The Jacques return with this dreamy indie-rock gem, laced with pop-infused tones and hazy harmonies. Having recently signed to Scruff Of The Neck, the band are preparing to follow up on their 2020 debut album, ‘The Four Five Three’, with a new EP later this year and then a second album in 2025. Coming in at just over two and half glorious minutes, ‘Take My Love’ is the first taste of new music from their upcoming releases. Originally an old, unfinished song from their vault, the lads decided to freshen it up and finish it as it “felt too good to go to waste”. With its radio-friendly air and indie goodness, we reckon this would sound perfect on 6 Music, Radio X and specialist shows at Radio 1, as well as additions to new release programming and indie/alternative editorial playlists at DSPs. Previously championed for great things by Huw Stephens, Chris Hawkins and Steve Lamacq at 6 Music, along with John Kennedy at Radio X and Rolling Stone France, The Jacques are now ready to fulfil their early teenage potential.
