Bum Bum
We say
First played on the BBC 1Xtra show with Tiffany Calver last night (15 August), ‘Bum Bum’ is the addictive dancehall-infused single from London-born pop/R&B singer-songwriter Morgan. Recently signed to Red Bull Records after a series of features on tracks with Sigma, Sonny Fodera and House Gospel Choir last year, the 23 year old embarks on a bold new chapter. Produced by Serban Cazan (Rita Oria, Rag’n’Bone Man), the track pays tribute to Morgan’s Jamaican heritage by sampling the iconic Sister Nancy ‘Bam Bam’ vocal amidst a heady mix of bass, reggae rhythms and dancefloor pop. Watch the video directed by Kassandra Powell here. Featuring on new music programming at Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, ‘Bum Bum’ is already creating a stir, and ahead of Notting Hill Carnival next weekend we expect to hear this blasting out of speakers, on the radio and more playlists over the coming weeks. With more music to come this autumn, Morgan is an artist to keep an eye on.
