DhinDhinDha
We say
We can’t get enough of London-based BombayMami’s new tune, ‘DhinDhinDha’. Its blend of East meets West production is an intoxicating and addictive mix, with two-step pop seamlessly blending with tabla-led melodies and other traditional Indian instruments, including the Sithar and Bansuri flute. Featuring English and Hindi lyrics, including the insanely catchy verse; “Dhin Dhin Dha, Dhin Dhin Dhin, Dha Dha Dha Dha, Dha Dha Ge Dhi, Dha Dha Dhin Dhin Dha Dha”, the song has some serious earworm abilities, which, with BombayMami’s gorgeous vocal tones, will soon have you singing along. Watch the beautifully shot video on Dalston’s iconic Ridley Road Market here. With plays and an interview lined up for BBC Asian Network soon, we reckon ‘DhinDhinDha’ has crossover potential for Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss, and more, plus additions to pop and dance playlists at DSPs. A wonderfully irresistible musical treat. Catch her playing at UK Black Pride at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 11 August.
