Stay Right?
We say
Let us introduce you to rising Belfast-based artist Kiing Sequence. He’s at the beating heart of Ireland’s Afro-fusion scene where his blend of Afros sounds with hints of drill, dancehall and Caribbean have already caught the attention of Spotify (NMF, Fresh Finds, ACS) and featured on the soundtrack of the third season of ‘Atlanta’. Released yesterday (18 July) and produced by rising star Becky McNeice and the artist himself, ‘Stay Right?’ sees him delving into the Berlin club culture as he pulls on techno elements to create an addictive Afro drill jammer. Lyrically, the track is a raw tale of heartache but driven by a seriously infectious beat that just wants to make you move. The track deserves additions to moody clubby/Afro-fusion themed playlists at DSPs and we reckon this would also sound perfect on Radio 1, 1 Xtra, Capital Xtra, Kiss and Reprezent. Alongside his catalogue, Kiing Sequence has also collaborated with LukeFly, Sello, Headie One and Jordan Adetunji. He is currently working on new projects and is set to release further singles this year, and by the standard of this one, you’ll need to keep a close on this emerging star.
