King
We say
Last September, we introduced you to Italian-born, London-based dark pop artist, producer and songwriter Anna Colombo, aka FHUR, with the infectious gothic dance ode ‘Hotlines’. The song was the first release of her forthcoming second EP, ‘Dreamy, Drowsy, Sweet, Narcotic’, due in September and was recorded with the Help Musicians Fund for Recording & Releasing New Music award last year. Last Friday saw her release this playful and insidiously addictive electronic-pop affair. Produced by FHUR with Blood Red Shoes’ Steven Ansell at his studio in Brighton, ‘King’ is the final single to be released from her second EP and shows a lighter side to her music. With previous tastemaker support from BBC Introducing, 6 Music, Amazing Radio, Clout, Fresh on the Net and more, we expect more praise, radio spins and playlist support for this deliciously fun and defiant dark pop ode. Ones to watch.
