We say
Next up with our artists you need to watch at the Great Escape festival this week is 23 year old singer songwriter Juliet Ivy from New York City. Growing up in a Colombian-Chinese household and exposed to cultural influences, Juliet creates a musical world that blends pop, indie, folk, and hyperpop into one seamless sound. Having attended the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Juliet has honed her sound over the past two and a half years and built a reputation for her introspective subject matter with playful lyrics and dreamy melodies. Last year, she dropped her debut EP, ‘playpen’, which contained the single, ‘we’re all eating each other’ that featured on Spotify’s Viral Charts and caught the attention of radio stations across the globe from Japan to Indonesia, Australia, Hungary and France. With over 25m global streams to date, she has just dropped this infectious, breezy acoustic guitar-led alt-pop gem ahead of her first UK shows. Having just finished a headline tour of the US earlier this week, Juliet will perform on Thursday at the Great Escape festival on the TGE Beach – The Deep End stage at 16.15 and then play her first UK headline and sold-out show in London at the Grace on Monday (20 May). One to watch.
