Backed by a haunting piano melody and cinematic string accompaniment, ‘One For You’ is the powerfully emotional new single from artist Scarlett Lee. Produced by Matthew Fisher and Meg Peters at The Cave Studios in Fareham, along with the mixing expertise of Oli Jacobs (Taylor Swift) and mastered by Nomograph (Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey), the song was written after a painful break-up and marks the beginning of a new chapter for herself, personally and musically. Scarlett first came to the attention of the public back in 2018, captivating audiences and judges alike on The X Factor where she finished as the runner-up. Since then, she has used her platform to shine a light on issues of mental health and body confidence, and more recently, Scarlett performed and competed on American Idol Season 7, where judges Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie and Luke Bryan put her through to Hollywood Round 2. Last Friday, she appeared on This Morning to tell her story to Dermot O’Leary, and she has also appeared in Billboard, on Times Square billboards, and in UK press, including the Mirror and Metro. She is currently working in the studio on new material with Matt Fisher and will be hosting a series of intimate virtual meet and greets on Lounges.TV on 26 and 27 March. ‘One For You’ is an alluring taster of what is to come from this talented vocalist and artist.
