Keep It Real
We say
There is much to love about Ghostly Kisses’ latest release from their forthcoming second album, ‘Darkroom’. From the ethereal electronic melodies to the dark groove and the enchanting vocals of Margaux Sauvé, ‘Keep It Real’ is a gorgeous sonic dreamscape with echoes of late ’90s/’00s electronica topped off with a grunge aesthetic. Crafted in collaboration with producer Oli Bayston (Rachel Chinouriri, Barry Can’t Swim, Yuné Pinku), the track has been featured on editorial playlists at Apple Music and Amazon Music. Deserving of spins on Radio 1 specialist shows and 6 Music, this mesmerising listen could easily be picked up for sync on high-end tech/fashion adverts, along with TV/film soundtracks. With over 100m streams alone for their debut album ‘Heaven Wait’ and tastemaker praise from Wonderland, Metal Mag, Crack Mag and Clash, to name a few, Ghostly Kisses toured Asia last year, along with performances at Icelandic Airwaves and Berlin’s Pitchfork Festival. Having supported Ry X, Lord Huron, Men I Trust and Pomme, Ghostly Kisses will head out on a European/UK tour in April/May, including a show at Islington Academy, before embarking on a tour of North America in late May. Quite wonderful.
