You Killed It
We say
Continuing to impress with their brand of energetic rock are Italian/Punjabi teenager sisters Veronica and Jess Pal, aka Baby Said. Inspired by Maneskin through to Nova Twins and Hole, Baby Said have already captured the attention of tastemakers at Apple Music with additions to UK, Italy and global rock playlists, alongside support at Deezer and VEVO. Plus, Alyx Holcombe has been a big supporter on BBC Introducing while we tipped them to have a breakout 2024 in our Ones To Watch. ‘You Killed It’ is their second single and, upon release last week, featured again heavily on Apple Music rock playlists. 1 minute 59 seconds of infectious guitar riffs, high energy and catchy lyrics, ‘You Killed It’ is an excellent follow up to their debut ‘Fight’ both produced by Gethin Pearson (The Enemy, Mallory Knox). Expect to hear it on the specialist radio shows at BBC Introducing and Radio 1 soon. Having supported US rockers Dirty Honey last week at their Birmingham, London and Cardiff shows, Baby Said are confirmed for the Great Escape and are to announce more shows for 2024 shortly. With an album already recorded and working with a slew of top producers, including Damon Minchella (Chappaqua Wrestling), Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Dandy Warhols), Lewis Gardiner (Twin Atlantic) and songwriter and LostAlone frontman Steve Batelle and producer Patch Boshell, there is plenty more to come from the duo this year.
