Turn Back The Time
We say
Formed in 2022, Keyside are a four-piece from the Mersey delta that blends poignant lyrics with honeyed guitars, all delivered through a decidedly unapologetic Liverpudilian filter. Currently at the forefront of the burgeoning northwest music scene, the band have already been championed by John Kennedy (Radio X), Dave Monks (BBC Introducing) and Gary Crowley (BBC Radio London) for their early releases. They’ve supported Jamie Webster and Shed Seven, played the Isle of Wight Festival and Sound City, as well as packed out venues across the city. Signed to Modern Sky and recently picked up by Matt Bates for his roster at Primary Talent, the lads dropped this reflective coming-of-age single last week. With its haunting guitars and cinematic richness, there’s a lush nostalgic nod to Liverpool’s music heritage in this captivating indie number. The track is perfect for new indie playlists across DSPs and spins on the radio at 6 Music and Radio X. Watch the video here. With their debut EP, ‘Nikita’, to be released next month, the lads will be playing the Arts Club Loft in Liverpool on 23 March and are set to perform at Sound City in May. One to watch.
