Next up on our Ones To Watch 2024 is the brilliant Biig Piig. The London alt-pop/electronic artist has had a breakthrough 2023 following the release of her debut mixtape ‘Bubblegum’ earlier this year. The release was the culmination of a string of singles that saw her claim multiple Hottest Records on Radio 1 and playlist additions on R1 and 6 Music, along with a BBC Sound Poll 2023 Longlist nomination and heavy DSP support. The Guardian, NME, Dork, Dazed, The Face and Variety, among others, praised the mixtape. Since the release, Biig Piig has performed shows across Europe, the US and the UK, including a show at Brixton Electric, which had 3.5k fans on the waiting list for the sold out show. In between touring, Piig spent time recording in London and Paris, working in the legendary studios behind the French electronic scene, where she became inspired by French electro. In November, she dropped this fantastically dark, restless and clubby offering about empowerment. It was quickly championed by Greg James and Clara Amfo at Radio 1 and received support at 6 Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer. ‘Watch Me’ marks the next evolutionary music step for Biig Piig and shows she is happy to reinvent, explore and push boundaries whilst staying true to herself as she brings her brand of music to the masses. With more new music in 2024, and over 300m streams and 250k fans across socials, Biig Piig is set to continue her rise to global stardom next year.
