Continuing our Ones To Watch 2024 is rising singer-songwriter Natalie Shay. We first featured the north London artist in the summer of 2021, having been impressed by her glittering dose of indie-pop in the single ‘Medicine Boy’. Since then, she has released a string of singles, her EP ‘Milk’ and most recently, this infectious blast of indie-pop about escaping a toxic relationship. Along the way, her music has been praised by Billboard, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Rolling Stone and Wonderland, among others, played on Radio 1, BBC London and BBC Radio London, as well as featured on playlists at Spotify and VEVO. This year on the live front, Natalie sold out Omeara, performed at SXSW as an official artist, opened for Caity Baser’s sold out London Kentish Town Forum show, supported Australian artist Jacob Lee on his UK tour and performed at various festivals, including Latitude and Victorious. Next up for Natalie is a new single release, ‘Doing Well’ (which is brilliant), in January, which is co-written and produced by Fickle Friends. It’s been great to see Natalie’s progression over the last two years, and with her latest batch of addictive earworms proving that she is a talent, 2024 is only set to see her star rise further.
