Heart On My Sleeve
We say
Today’s Ones To Watch 2024 is rising indie band The K’s. Influenced by The Clash, The Jam, Squeeze and The Libertines, the Earlestown four-piece have gained a loyal and growing fanbase over the last five years with their anthemic tracks and touring ethic. With a string of single releases behind them and over 15m combined streams, the lads recently dropped this driving, indie-rock banger after a first play from Chris Hawkins at 6 Music. Taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘I Wonder If The World Knows’ on LAB Records, the track marked the start of a busy new chapter. Having already supported Liam Gallagher, James and Blondie, as well as performed at the Isle of Wight Festival, Neighbourhood, Tramlines, Reading and Leeds festivals, The K’s played to a sold-out Manchester Academy last weekend, and next April will see them embark on their biggest headline tour of the UK. With early support from numerous indie blogs, radio support from 6 Music and Radio X, and editorial playlist additions at Spotify (NMF, The Indie LIst), Apple Music (The New Rock, New in Rock, NMD) and Deezer (Brand New), The K’s are making a name for themselves as a tour de force within the scene, producing infectious, sing-along anthems for old and new indie-rock lovers, making them a Ones To Watch 2024.
