Next up on our Ones To Watch 2024 is gritty dream pop duo Wings Of Desire. Citing inspiration from the seminal music of early noughties NYC, Factory Records and Krautrock, James Taylor and Chloe Little make soaring, fuzzy indie with heartfelt, storytelling lyrics and anthemic, harmony-led choruses. With a string of single releases since the pandemic, the duo have drawn praise from publications such as Clash, Dork, the Independent, and The Line of Best Fit, received DSP support at Spotify and Apple Music, and been played on 6 Music (Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq), Radio X (John Kennedy) and NME Radio. Plus, their single ‘Choose A Life’ was featured on Fifa 23. This gorgeous ode, with its Springsteen, New Order and Arcade Fire-esque vibes, is their latest single to be taken from their debut anthology release ‘Life Is Infinite’ on 8 December. Having previously supported Nation of Language and Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, the duo are currently on tour with Bleach Lab and will play at the Scala in London this Thursday (16 November). With their soaring indie vibes, sumptuous harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, we believe they have everything to have a breakout 2024.
