Chewing Gum
We say
Bergen-based, Norwegian indie-rocker Bo Milli has been catching the attention of tastemakers over the past 18 months with her coming of age music releases. Drawing comparisons to everyone from Clairo, The Beths, Soccer Mommy and Phoebe Bridgers, the 23 year old has received praise from i-D, The Fader, Clash, The Line Of Best Fit, Dork, The Rodeo and many more. On the radio side, she has had airplay in Norway (NRK P13, P3), Germany (Flux FM) and Australia (Triple J). Yesterday (19 October), she dropped her debut EP ‘Making Friends’, a collection of singles from this time, which saw her working with producers and songwriters Odd Martin (Sigrid, Sløtface), Henrik Michelsen (Maisie Peters, Little Mix) and Albin Eidhagen and Tore Bojsten of Stockholm band Sötnos. This searing macho-anthem is her newest single and showcases her brutally honest lyrics as she sings about using and dropping someone. It’s perfect for alternative playlists at DSPs and spins at Radio 1 and 6 Music. Having had a busy summer playing festivals across Norway, Bo will be heading out on a tour of GSA next month. One to watch.
