We say
It’s been a rapid rise for 21 year old Anglo-Australian singer-songwriter-producer Charlotte Plank. Just eighteen months ago, she was working in Marks & Spencer stacking shelves but now has two Top 40 hits (including a Top 5 with Rudimental on ‘Dancing is Healing’), amassed over 80m combined streams and played Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Boomtown festivals. Alongside this, her take on UK drum’n’bass has seen her receive support from Spotify (Hot Hits UK, Our Generation, Massive Dance Hits), Apple Music (DanceXL & face of Up Next), BBC Radio 1 (inc. BBC Introducing Track of the Week) and tipped by tastemakers like Zane Lowe, NME and the Independent. Recently, she dropped this hands-in-the-air stadium/festival banger with Hybrid Minds. With its catchy d’n’b hook and sing-out-loud vibes, the song has racked up over 1m streams, been backed by Radio 1 and Kiss, and added to editorial playlists at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and Deezer. Next up for Charlotte, having played a sold-out show at the Hackney Social last week, Charlotte will be supporting fellow Loud LDN members Piri and Venbee on their UK tours this autumn and release her debut EP ‘InHer World’ later this month. 2023 has been a big year so far for Charlotte, but we reckon 2024 is only going to be bigger.
