Morally Grey
We say
Over the last six months, we’ve highlighted the sultry and chilled alt-pop aesthetic of rising London-based Scottish artist April Jai. Her RotD-featured tracks, ‘Stop Fighting It’ and ‘You Didn’t Notice’, alongside her viral hit ‘It Ends With Us’, perfectly showcase her sad girl roots and fiery pop sides. Along the way, April has picked editorial playlist support at Spotify, plays on Absolute Radio, and praise at Wonderland, PopJustice and The Honey Pop to name just a few. Released today (13 October), ‘Morally Grey’ offers a dark-pop tint to her acoustic guitar-led alt-pop about falling in love with fictional bad boys. Perfect for additions to those pop/new pop playlists at DSPs, it's another impressive addition to her catalogue. Having performed twice at the Ned this year, April will perform at the Workshop in London next Wednesday. One to watch.
