Released today (22 September), ‘Just Another Minute’ is the shimmering new release from London-based, Irish singer-songwriter Dylan Kearns. Having honed his craft in bands on the Dublin scene before lockdown struck, he then decided to work on his solo material. Last year, he released his debut single, ‘She’s Like A Drug’ – a mixture of ’80s synths and indie/alt-pop influences – and followed the release with a string of singles that drew the attention of online tastemakers, including Notion, Hotpress, and Irish radio. Now back with this vibrant synth-led indie pop offering about the insatiable desire for online media and its consequent effect on human relationships. Co-written with David Curley from RotD-featured The Cope, the song is deserving of editorial additions on new indie-pop and contextual playlists at DSPs, along with plays on specialist shows on Radio 1, 6 Music, and Radio X. He’s currently working on his debut EP and is planning his first live in London. One to watch.
