Shrink's Couch
We say
Just over a year ago, we introduced you to London singer-songwriter Al Costelloe and her gorgeous blend of dreamy pop and indie on the single ‘California’. Since then, she has released a string of singles and last week dropped her debut EP 'So Neurotic'. Recorded between Bristol and Liverpool with producers Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Yard Act, Perfume Genius) and Mike Halls (Clean Cut Kid) - with further contributions from Costelloe's live guitarist Ed Hayes (Yuck/Frank Ocean), the 'So Neurotic' EP moves between soothing indie-pop and self-aware art-pop, exploring difficult relationships and the relationship you have yourself. New single, ‘Shrink's Couch’, sees Al talk about her experience with therapy against a blend of ’90s flecked indie rock. Watch the animated video by Jesse Wong here. Tastemaker support has come from 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Craig Charles, Lauren Laverne, Nemone & Iggy Pop), Radio X, Spotify, DIY Magazine, Clash, Wonderland, The Line Of Best Fit and more. Al is currently supporting Demob Happy on their tour across Europe.
