Chains of Ours
We say
London-based artist Hannah White has been one of the most talked-about artists on the roots music scene over the past year. In January, the RotD-featured artist won the gong for the UK Song of the Year at the Americana Music Association UK awards for ‘Car Crash’ from her last album ‘About Time’. That album also picked up tastemaker praise from across the scene on its release last summer. Since then, Hannah has been in the studio recording her follow-up LP, ‘Sweet Revolution’ with producer Michele Stodart of the Magic Numbers. Signed to The Last Music Co on a global record and publishing deal, ‘Chains of Ours’ is the gorgeous first single from her forthcoming album. With its brooding, atmospheric intro, classic Americana hooks and warm, heartfelt lyrics, the song captures the echoes of Fleetwood Mac with a modern feel. Perfect for spins on Radio 2’s Bob Harris show and across country stations here in the UK and the US, the song would happily grace country editorial playlists at DSPs. Later this month, Hannah will play Voss Festival in Norway before setting out as support on Paul Carrack’s UK tour and playing a special album launch show at London’s Bush Hall on 3 November.
