We say
Formed by brothers Joe and Eddy, and school friend Luca, Honeybadger are a garage punk band from Brighton. A regular on the Brighton gig circuit, the trio have already caught the attention of Radio 1’s Nels Hylton on his Future Alternative Show with their previous single ‘Cold Wind’ and have also received support at Planet Rock. Released last week (26 July), ‘Back Home’ is a spiky blast of rock tinged with punk and grunge elements about “life’s minor inconveniences”. With its heavy guitar riffs and pounding drums, this would be perfect for rock playlists at DSPs and of course, spins at Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X. ‘Back Home’ is the first of a spate of singles to be released this year and into 2024 and from this early taste, we are very impressed with this Brighton-based trio. For fans of Drenge, Them Crooked Vultures and Pretty Vicious.
