Let Light In
We say
Charged with positivity, ‘Let Light In’ is the soothing new indie-folk endeavour by Waiting For Smith. Fronted by singer-songwriter Harry Lloyd and guided by producer Danton Supple (Coldplay), the track seamlessly interweaves heartfelt lyrics with mellifluous instrumentals and a captivating choir rendition from members of the Imizamo Yethu community township in Hout Bay, Cape Town. Released last Friday (28 July), the track is perfect for soul-stirring, folk-led playlists at DSPs, along with plays at Radio 1 and 6 Music. With over 3.5m combined streams on Spotify, Waiting For Smith has amassed over 100k YouTube views, 100k Shazams on his releases, as well as support from Radio 1, 6 Music, GQ, Clash, Rolling Stone India, MTV and Earmilk, to name just a few. Having played Isle of Wight and Latitude festivals this summer, Waiting For Smith will headline Camden Assembly on 19 Assembly. For fans of Nick Mulvey, Charlie Cunningham and Ben Howard.
