Lost in the Music
We say
‘Lost In The Music’ is the beautifully immersive and ethereal ode from rising Brighton singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Phoebe Willo. Having broken onto the scene last year with her debut ‘My friend Sarah Tonin’, which featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Phoebe has since dropped a string of releases that has seen her amass over 1.2m combined streams, a new legion of online fans and online tastemaker support from the likes of Clash, Clout and more. Released last Friday (21 July), this hypnotic and atmospheric dose of dreamy alt-pop is stunning and deserves to be added to dreamy and uplifting contextual alt-pop/indie-pop playlists at DSPs over the coming weeks. No radio spins yet, but with its radio-friendly feel, we can see this picking up support on Radio 1, 2 and 6 Music before moving on to commercial stations. Plus, the track is perfect for syncs on TV shows and adverts. Phoebe has also teamed up with Songbits for this release, so later this week, fans can purchase a percentage of the track and collect royalties in the future. Overall, Phoebe is a talented 20 year old artist, who has a knack for writing incredible lush and immersive music that deserves to be heard. For fans of early Lorde, Billie Marten and Lizzy McAlpine.
