What Kind Of Trouble
We say
Full of classic rock guitar lines and a hint of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, ‘What Kind of Trouble’ is the lead single from former Noah and The Whale guitarist and keyboardist Fred Abbott’s second album, ‘Shining Under the Soot’. Now known as Fred Abbott & The Wild Unknown, the track featuring Steve Llewellyn on lead vocals is a joyous hark back to the ’80s with its glittering and infectious guitar hooks and soft drums. Watch the psychedelic headspin of a video filmed at London’s Karma Studios here. Perfect for 6 Music and Radio 2 spins, we can also see this track picking up support on rock and driving contextual playlists at DSPs. Since his debut solo album, ‘Serious Poke’, in 2015, Fred has been paying the bills as jobbing producer, writer and session player working with a string of upcoming and established artists, including Gabriella Cilmi, Tom Chaplin, Jamie Lawson, Cassyette, Charlotte OC, Kawala, Megan McKenna and more.
