Continuing to make a name for himself on the UK rising rap scene is Reading rapper Songer. We first featured him last year with the vulnerable Love is a Lottery. Since then, the 22 year old has collaborated with D Double E, sold out headline tours in less than 24 hours and had his music played across Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Plus, he has received praise from the Independent, NME, Evening Standard, GRM Daily, Linkup TV, DMY and Wonderland, to name just a few. Last week, he released his album Skala, which went to no.1 on the iTunes hip-hop charts. This flamboyant, party-rich tune with its quickfire bars shows why he has caught the attention of tastemakers and amassed over 60m combined streams for his music. Tomorrow (29 April), he will be performing on Soccer AM, and then in May will head out on a UK tour, which includes two shows at the Scala in London, after the initial date sold out within hours.
