Dead Body
We say
It’s been nearly eighteen months since we last featured Dublin-based pop artist Kehli and her acoustic guitar-driven pop gem Not Ok. Since then, the 21 year old has continued to capture the attention of Irish regional radio and BBC Radio 1 with her music, as well as making her first TV appearance on the Late Late Show. Driven by a pop-punk-esque guitar and foot-stomping beat, this infectious new release from the Dubliner was co-written alongside Oli Fox and Aiden Halliday. With its singalong chorus and pop hooks galore, it’s one of those songs that we reckon would be perfect for feel-good and self-empowerment theme editorial playlists at DSPs. Early tastemaker praise has come from Apple Music, Earmilk, Wonderland, Rollacoaster, Euphoria, EQ Music and Irish press, to go alongside previous support from Spotify, YouTube, Kiss FM, Clash and the Line of Best Fit, to name just a few. With label interest here and in the US, Kehli is making waves in all the right places, and this anthemic banger showcases just why. Next Thursday (27 April), Kehli will make her headline debut in UK at the Sebright Arms and will also perform at The Great Escape Festival next month.
