Sober
We say
Dorset-raised, London-based Siobhán Winifred is an alt-pop artist who is picking up her fair share of attention in all the right places at this early stage of her career. She can already count Radio 1’s specialists Jack Saunders and Molly King as fans, alongside Tom Robinson at 6 Music, Jess Iszatt at BBC Introducing and Brooke Reese at Apple Music, following the release of her first two singles, Black Hole and the RotD-featured This House. Further support has also come from Spotify and at numerous online sites, including DMY, Earmilk, Atwood, Lock Mag, 1883 Magazine, Hot Press, and Golden Plec. Released at the end of March, Sober is a captivating listen, full of thoughtful lyricism amidst layered atmospheric instrumentation and electronic beats. With more music to come this year, Siobhán has just been longlisted for this year’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, and we reckon this will be a promising year ahead. One to watch.
