Beauty Hidden In Pain
We say
Let us introduce you to the tender sounds of London-based four-piece YAZ. Hailing from all corners of the word, the members of YAZ all met in London, where they all now call home. Yassine Belkhou (vocals/guitar) was born and raised in Montreal but was originally from Morocco, Krishna Kasim (guitar) is from India, Tony Lesage (drums) is from France and Oscar Joe Gross (bass) is from Australia. Inspired by The Lumineers, Beck and Kaleo, their music is a blend of indie-folk paired with deep introspective lyrics, all wrapped up in Yassine’s captivating soulful vocals (think Tom Grennan meets James Morrison). This beautiful track is their new single and there is a lot to love about it – a must listen. On Friday, they will perform at Londoon's Mercato Metropolitano, having previously played sold out shows at that venue, as they have at the Troubadour. This summer, they will have a headline slot at Camden Rocks Festival and are planning more London shows to coincide with future releases.
