The first thing that hits when you press play on this new upbeat, dancefloor-ready single from Irish singer-songwriter Lyra is her powerful vocals. Written by Lyra and Martin Hollis and produced by Scott Rosser, You sees Lyra singing about “the spark that creates a fire inside of you” when you find love. Backed by a haunting keys motif, the track builds in momentum with pop hooks galore and an infectious beat. Last year, her singles and RotD-featured tracks, Lose My Mind and the John Gibbons collab Edge of Seventeen, saw her enjoy two huge radio hits in her native Ireland, with the latter achieving over 45m global radio impacts. Both tracks went Top 10 on the official Commercial Dance Club Charts. Having gone down a storm opening for Westlife on their winter 2022 UK and Ireland arena tour, Lyra is now preparing for a 10-date headline tour of the UK next month that culminates in a show at London’s Bush Hall on 28 April. Before that though, she will perform You on the semi-final of Dancing With The Stars on RTE 1 on Sunday evening.
