Pretty Boys
We say
Regular readers will know that we are big fans of 20 year old Brighton artist Caity Baser, having featured her twice last year and tipped her as one of our Ones To Watch 2023. Her addictive selection of honest, no-holds-barred lyrical gems has seen her build an impressive fanbase across platforms, and led to her being tipped by Amazon Music, NME, Rolling Stone UK and the Independent. Last month she dropped her Thanks For Nothing, See You Never EP, which was hailed as "pop chaos in the best tradition" by Dork Magazine. The EP features this catchy and funny pop anthem, Pretty Boys. Upon release, the song was added to editorial playlists across Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. Since then, it has been named as Radio 1’s Tune of the Week and has just been added to Radio 1's and Capital FM's playlists for this week. On Friday, the song entered the singles chart at no 35, a chart peak for the singer and songwriter, and has been steadily climbing this week. It’s been a busy month for the rising star, that has also seen her feature on the latest release by Sigala, Feels This Good. Next month, Caity will head out on her sold out, 10-date headline UK tour, culminating in a show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town - followed by a debut US showcase performance in LA at Musexpo on 20 March, and then high billings across the UK festival circuit this summer. 2023 is only going to get bigger for this Brighton talent.
