I Don’t Miss You (Except For When I Do)
We say
Beginning our fourth week of Ones To Watch 2023 is Devon-based indie-pop trio Tors. Comprised of brothers Matt and Theo Weedon and Jack Bowden, the trio make a heady mix of hook-driven indie-folk with heartfelt, storytelling lyrics and anthemic, harmony-led choruses. With a string of singles released before the pandemic, the lads toured the UK and Europe supporting Tom Walker, John Newman and Walking on Cars in 2019. Since then, the trio have taken time out to hone and craft their sound, and at the beginning of this year, started to release their new material. I Don’t Miss You (Except For When I Do) is their beautiful new single featuring London-born, US-based singer Lily Williams and showcases their talent musically and lyrically. Alongside songwriting for themselves, the band have numerous co-writes with artists, including Declan J Donovan and Dean Lewis, which has seen them playlisted at Radio 1 and 2 and amass over 500m career streams. Having supported X Ambassadors and Duncan Laurence this year, the lads are planning more shows in the UK for the first half of 2023 and will also support Sam Ryder. With their sumptuous harmonies, enticing melodies, heartfelt songwriting and hardworking touring ethic, we expect 2023 to be their breakout year.
