We say

Starting our new week of Ones To Watch 2023 is an artist that should be familiar to regular readers. We first featured Winchester-based singer-songwriter Emilia Tarrant in 2019 after being spellbound by her soulful voice at the Great Escape festival. Since then, we have watched her grow in confidence with each release and see her sound evolve after working with producers like Luke Potashnick (Gabrielle Aplin), Danton Supple (Coldplay) and more recently Kingdoms (JP Cooper/R3HAB). Her music has attracted tastemaker support from over sixty online sites (including Notion and Wonderland), gained support and played on the radio (BBC Introducing, BBC Solent) and featured across DSP editorial playlists at Spotify and Apple Music. Plus, four of her tracks have been synced to Love Island UK and USA. Slow Motion is the third release from her forthcoming second EP and is a big pop song full of glorious hooks and melodies, showing just how far she has come. Having played three shows at Glastonbury this year, she will be performing at 180 Soho House tonight (21 November) and will also co-headline a Big Hug MGMT and Salt House Records industry showcase at the Grace in London on 28 November. With continued support from DSPs and BBC radio, Emilia is a rising star, and with her mature songwriting already finding audiences across the globe, we reckon next year will be massive for her, making her one of our Ones To Watch 2023.
